Streetfront Alternative

Streetfront is a Vancouver School Board alternative education program based out of Britannia Secondary School in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Streetfront approaches education with an emphasis on physical activities and outdoor experiences.

The Streetfront students run three days per week, with some students training for and participating in the Seattle and Vancouver full and half Marathons. Streetfront also spends approximately 35 days of the 190 school days in an outdoor environment – this includes three four-day camp trips.

Hero has been working with Streetfront for over 5yrs providing design support and custom apparel. Now for the first time we're proud to offer these limited edition Streetfront hoodies! With partial proceeds going directly to the Streetfront program the hope is to offset the substantial cost of outfitting each student. To learn more you can visit the Streetfront website.

About the design:

The logo for this pieces was designed by Hero founder Daniel Bergson and reprsents The Lions; the two most iconic peaks visible from Vancouver and the namesake of our Lions Gate Bridge. The Patagonia influence was intentional and requested by Streetfront to represent their outdoor pursuits. This is the first time Hero will be producing this new colour-way.
